As you might have seen, Leigh Folk Festival is returning after a 2-year Covid-19 hiatus, and just in time for its 30th anniversary year, and we need your help.
Whether or not you are able to give some, a lot or none of your time to volunteering with us this year, we would appreciate it if you would share our call for volunteers with your church, family, personal, professional and social networks. If you would like to join us as a volunteer – the sign-up form is here: and more info is below.
You’d be joining volunteers from across the city and that help make this beautiful free folk and arts family festival happen, including teams from Leigh Road Baptist Church, St Clements Church, Avenue Baptist Church and The Fisherman’s Chapel.
The festival takes place on Thursday 23, Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June, but we’ll also be looking for support on Wednesday 22 and Monday 27 June as well. The support we need is incredibly varied ranging from supporting building our festival site and infrastructure (and breaking it down) during the day on Friday and then Sunday evening, to Stage Management, site cleanliness, door hosting, selling merchandise/collecting donations, hosting craft workshop for families (prior DBS check required) and social media support.
This year, the festival will centre around Leigh Library Gardens for the whole weekend, the park will be open as part of the festival from Friday 24th with a ticketed comedy gala, with the rest of the weekend full of free entertainment in the park. We’ll also be hosting events at Leigh Community Centre and St Clement’s Church Thursday-Sunday, The Broadway and The Fisherman’s Chapel Sat/Sun, and some other neighbouring spaces.
