King’s Church at St Cedd’s

King’s Church is a growing church family with folks from India, Nepal, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Romania, Nigeria… and Brits too. However… the most important aspect is that we see ourselves as ONE family. We are part of the NewFrontiers family of churches and also enjoy great relationships with other churches in the city. 

Our worship time encourages folks to pray out and bring scriptures that enrich our worship and make much of Jesus. We welcome the Spirit of God to work amongst us, drawing us closer to Jesus. 

A typical Sunday starts with tea & coffee… a time of welcome and then worship. We then have a short break where we can enjoy fellowship together – building strong links between the members and also welcoming guests and visitors. Then the children go to Zone and the rest of us remain for a teaching time. The teenagers stay in for this too.

The last Sunday of each month is a communion Sunday… where there is no midway break and the children stay in. We take our time with communion… and there is more opportunity to pray for one another. Then we have our refreshments.

We sit around tables – which encourages fellowship.

King’s Church also runs KMAC  – King’s Money Advice Centre. This is a free face-to-face debt advice work which is authorised and regulated by the FCA. This model of debt advice allows us to deal with clients creditors and also handle the variety of different needs straight away. We found this a better way than other models.

We have a mid-week Pray2Gether online for members of the King’s family. We pray for King’s Church, for other local churches, for the city and for wider issues in our nation…and beyond.

We are a work in progress. We are looking for Jesus to build His church. It’s been quite a journey…but we haven’t finished it yet.
