Celebrating Jesus-centred service to the city – congratulations to John Simmons!

We are delighted to share the news that John Simmons, a member of the Love Southend Servant team, gained the Bronze Award in the recent ‘Citizens of Southend 2025’ award presentation evening. John’s nomination reflected his tireless commitment to work in a variety of contexts for the welfare of the city, and particularly his co-ordination of the Churches Winter Night Shelters. John is known and respected in many settings in Southend, and carries the character and love of Jesus into all those environments.
