Love Southend has been undergoing the process of applying for charitable status and this week following our response to a number of detailed questions from the Charity Commissioners our application to register as a charity was accepted.
Our charitable purposes are 3-fold: the relief of those in need; the advancement of the Christian religion and the promotion of the spiritual welfare of the community.
We are very excited about this significant development in Love Southend’s ministry to serve God’s purposes for our Borough. And we are very grateful to those who have agreed to serve as trustees for the CIO and the work that has enabled this to happen.
We look forward with great anticipation to the opportunities that God has for us to bring his love and presence to our Borough as we step into a new year with him and one another!
