St John's Southend

We’re a city-centre church gathering in a beautifully renovated historic building tucked just behind the Royals Shopping Centre on Church Rd.

Our heartbeat is to be a diverse community growing in our love for Jesus and for one another, reaching our parish and city with the Gospel, especially through church planting and revitalisation.

Since relaunching St John’s in September 2020 with a team from St Michael’s Westcliff, we’ve already sent out two more teams to revitalise Christ Church Southend and St Andrew’s Westcliff.

Together, these churches form a local Anglican and Evangelical network pursuing Jesus in all the Scriptures and gladly standing in the historic, orthodox Christian faith that has weathered centuries of cultural shift here in the UK and around the world.
