Befrienders needed for Southend Christian Charity

by
Steve Dalley

The Isaiah Project is a local charity that aims to help those in the community who are unable to change the circumstances in which they find themselves. It is open to all members of the public who need a helping hand to move on in life. We support vulnerable people to enable them to gain the life and social skills necessary to obtain and maintain independence in the community. We do this by providing ongoing support in various ways such as: housing, friendship, help with form filling, life skills, volunteering opportunities in our charity shops and liaising with other professional bodies.

We are currently looking for new befrienders (both male and female, volunteers or paid employees) to support our residents and help them to move forward with their lives. The hours are part-time and are flexible.

To help support you in your role, we have a team of office staff as well as a Lead Befriender. You will report directly to the Lead Befriender.

Full Job Description can be sent on request- please get in contact.

Many thanks. God bless you.
