An exciting opportunity to lead a thriving youth club into the next phase of development!
As Youth Worker at Wesley Methodist Church you will be responsible for the running of Fusion Youth & Kids, which regularly welcomes 60-80 children aged 5-11, and working with our young people and youth volunteers to re-establish Fusion+, for ages 11-18.
This is a rewarding role, with plenty of opportunity for personal development. Supported by a team of committed volunteers and youth helpers each week, you will be preparing, setting up and running each weekly session, which will include a 15 minute youth worship slot as part of the programme. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate financial records, ensuring the clubs abide by the church’s safeguarding policy, and maintaining weekly records. A good knowledge of Safeguarding and First Aid is desirable, however the successful applicant will be expected to undertake training as required.
Terms of Employment
Location: Wesley Methodist Church, Elm Road, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex
Contract: 3 year Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 6 hours per week – 5 hours to be worked on site on Thursdays during term time, 4.30pm-9.30pm, and 1 hour preparation
Salary: £14.00 per hour for 40 weeks pro rota, paid over 52 weeks a year
