The theme of our three Family Services in Advent (and our Carol Service – see separate post) is a series based on the names given to Jesus in Isaiah 9 v 6: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called ‘Wonderful Counsellor’, ‘Mighty God’, ‘Everlasting Father’, ‘Prince of Peace’.” (NIVUK).
Sunday, Dec. 3 (10am): “And he will be called ‘Wonderful Counsellor’.” – speaker: Peter Nicholson.
Sunday, Dec. 10 (10am): “And he will be called ‘Mighty God’.” – speaker: Steve Morley.
Sunday, Dec. 17 (10am): “And he will be called ‘Everlasting Father’.” – speaker: Phil Knox (Head of mission to young adults at the Evangelical Alliance UK).
All are welcome and each service will be followed by light refreshments.
