As the general election approaches, Leigh Road Baptist Church. Marguerite Drive has once again invited three of the candidates standing for the Southend West Constituency Seat to a hustings event on Wednesday 4 December, 7.45 pm.
Sir David Amess (Conservative), Aston Line (Labour) and Nina Stimson (Liberal Democrats) have accepted our invitation to take part. Information on the campaign of the other candidate Jospeh 77 (Independent) will, we hope, be available on the evening.
Questions are being gathered beforehand so that we can make best use of the time we have and so that we can ensure the candidates will be asked about local, national and international issues that have the broadest concern amongst those attending. We hope, however, that there will be a short time toward the end of the meeting for questions from the floor.
