These mornings are a great opportunity for Christians to come together to impact the spiritual atmosphere of our city. Through worship and interceding for the welfare of our community we look to God for the values of his heart and his powerful and wholesome ways to shape every sphere of our city, and for members of our community to come into a personal and deepening relationship with Jesus. Every one with a desire to pray for our city and who is available is very welcome.
Jeremiah 29:7 – …seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you…
Ephesians 6:18 – And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
James 5:16 – The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
We are very grateful to Paul Mackay, Vicar of St. Mary’s, for hosting and leading our morning. Paul writes,
St Mary’s Prittlewell has been a place of prayer and worship for centuries, styles and traditions have changed and are always evolving, but at our core we remain dedicated to Christ who leads us and the ‘Holy Spirit who intercedes for us’ (Romans 8:26).
We look forward to welcoming you on the 23 November.
