The Chalkwell Group of Churches have organised a Good Friday Service in Chalkwell Park for at least 40 years!
This year, you are invited to join us as we reflect on the meaning and purpose of Christ’s death on the cross at Calvary.
We will sing and pray together, listen to readings from the Bible, and hear Rev. Julie Fleming (vicar of St. Saviour’s) speak about what Good Friday means to both Christians and non-Christians.
The service starts at 11am and will be finished by 12noon. We will be on the grass, outside the older cricket pavilion (Wesctliff CC).
If you would like to be part of the choir, please come along a little early.
And, weather permitting, you are welcome to join those who will be staying for a picnic afterwards.
NB: The wet weather plan is to use St. Saviour’s, Kings Road, SS0 8LL.
A decision will be made and communicated as early as possible, but this may be not until the morning of Good Friday.
