DESCRIPTION:Join us in Glorifying The Lord\, our Heavenly Father on a Sunda
 y morning at 10:30am\n\nWe would love to welcome you to the Avenue Baptist
  Church family!\n\nEach Sunday we gather at Avenue Baptist in Milton Road\
 , Westcliff\, SS0 7JX\, opposite the Catholic Church\, to worship\, to gro
 w in our relationship with God through hearing and learning how to go abou
 t applying His word\, and to end our service by fellowshipping together ov
 er a cuppa and a cookie.\n\nWe can all all admit freely\, and openly to be
 ing "a work in progress!" We have a wonderfully diverse group of people wh
 o we are proud to call our Church family\, with many different nations gat
 hering together as one family. It is the amazing unity in Christ that matt
 ers most\, not if we all look and sound the same. The love expressed withi
 n the family is vital\, and we are experiencing (and learning) how to “d
 o” authentic and radical church – and learning from all the unfortunat
 e mistakes we might often make.\nOur spiritual DNA is a deep love for the 
 Word of God.  We don’t change the faith to suit the culture … but we 
 do want to be effective as Christians within our culture.\n\n\nThere’s a
 n Avenue Baptist Zone Sunday School for the youngsters from xx to xx – b
 ut we do like to encourage secondary school age to remain in the main teac
 hing – so we can all learn together.  In addition\, we run a creche\, t
 o try and give mum’s some time to reflect and take a break.\n\n\nIf you
 ’re not connected into a church family…why not consider popping along 
 to taste and see.  We follow every Sunday service with refreshments and c
 ake and biscuits\, so that people can mingle and chat.
