Jobs: Vacancy for a part-time Community and Outreach Worker

Church Community and Outreach Worker
Are you passionate about helping people? Are you a team worker with strong leadership skills? Are you good at networking and building partnerships?

Here at Kings Road, we have a busy church with many activities and clubs taking place in our building each week. We want to develop stronger links with our hall hirers and youth organizations and establish partnerships with local charities to build our vision of helping those in need within the wider community.
We are seeking a Christian with an enthusiastic “Can do” attitude to work alongside our Centre Manager and loyal team of volunteers.

Qualifications required
Recognised relevant qualifications or proven experience in community work. Strong IT skills particularly in Microsoft Office 365. Degree or equivalent, not essential but desirable.
Work base: A shared office at Kings Road URC.
Work area: Westcliff-on-sea and the wider Southend-on-sea area.
Hours of work: Part-time, 20-25 hours per week with flexibility including some evenings, weekends, and some school holidays.
Contract: A fixed term 5-year contract with review in year 4.
Salary: £26,000-£32,000 pro rata depending on experience.
