Read All About It! Churches from across South East Essex have created their own Tabloid newspaper to advertise sensational story of Easter and over 150 special events taking place taking place al local Christian Churches this Easter. The paper will be delivered to over 120,000 homes across South East Essex in the weeks leading up to Easter and will feature a free offer to all readers to get their own copy of the full paper for free.
The pullout features in the Southend & Castle Point yellow Advertiser (week beginning 03/04) and is part of a campaign by the Churches Publicity Forum this Easter. Invite cards have also been posted through doors around the area as a way of inviting people to the churches special Easter events. The campaign aims to show that all are welcome to join with their local church at Easter and any time of the year.
David Elcock, Forum member said, ‘The Bun - our free tabloid newspaper features the amazing true events that make up the Easter Story! The sensational story of Easter can affect every reader, the eye catching headlines hope to prompt every reader to explore the claims further - and send off for the free full Tabloid Paper’.
David Elcock added, ‘Some of the churches are holding special music concerts, film showings and plays, fireworks with champagne, Easter egg hunts and opportunities to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Gods’ Son. Christians believe that Jesus died as a sacrifice for all of us, but rose again on Easter Sunday, defeating death. If we accept what Jesus did, this reconnects us with a God who loves us passionately – now that's sensational.’
