Other information about this event:
‘I have been a local GP for 18 years and for the last 5 years I have organised an annual Carol Service for health care workers, clinicians, staff, even patients. The Christmas story (the one about ‘Christ’!) is unavoidably challenging. Can we really believe that God became man? I like to explore this astonishing claim in a variety of ways that includes the comfortable and traditional carols but also by coming from some unexpected angles and considering how this might related to our work of helping the sick. I am always humbled by the number of folk that turn out, many of whom may not usually attend a ‘church’ service. My own colleagues and staff are very loyal and positive about the whole thing which is encouraging, they all seem to enjoy it – I hope you do too!’
